The pool

San Giorgio is an organic farm covering 240 hectars situated in the valley below Mount Soratte, which is mentioned in Virgili's Aeneid, was sacred place to the ancient Fallisci people who offered gifts to the God, Apollo Soractis, on the slopes of the mountain. The Roman road which connected Golian and Falerii runs throught the farm.

The oak forest in the farm, covering 15 hectars, is accessible to our guests for healty and beautiful walks.

The area sorrounding the farm is rich in items of historical interests including the remains of a Roman villa, an aqueduct and underground tunnels, dating from the Etruscan period, cut into the vulcanic rock.

Only a few kilometers from the farm where located the Faliscan settlements of Faleria (Falerii Novi), the capital of the reign. At the confluenece of the River Tiber and the Treia River the Falisca built the river-port town of Goliano from where goods and produced were transported to an from the town of Ponzano on the coast.
